Introduction

DecorDrive is a resin-bonded surfacing system that has been specifically developed for the residential driveway, patio and pathway market. The resins and aggregates used in the DecorDrive system have been selected for their excellent performance as part of the FastGrip system, another product from Ronacrete Ltd.

However, rather than baffle the average homeowner with a bewildering array of aggregates and resins for a multitude of applications, the DecorDrive system offer the most popular aggregates along with a resin designed for use on residential projects. The resin is based on the exceptional FastGrip XP product, which offers better workability over a range of temperatures and increased crack resistance.

Uses & Applications:
The DecorDrive system has been developed for those homeowners looking to 'overlay' an existing surface, which would need to be either, concrete, bitmac (tarmac), or asphalt. The existing surface needs to be in relatively good condition structurally although minor preparatory work can be carried out on sub-standard surfaces to make them ready for the DecorDrive treatment.
DecorDrive offers all the advantages of a resin bonded surface dressing; no loose gravel to be tracked into the house, easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing, and a natural looking finish that complements any style of home. It's also less susceptible to permanent damage from minor oil or fuel spills and comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Construction
DecorDrive, like its parent product, FastGrip, is a Scatter Coat Surfacing comprising 3 layers: a base, the resin binder, and the decorative aggregate. A full description of the construction method is given on the page looking at the use of FastGrip.

The Aggregates:
DecorDrive offers three of the most popular aggregate blends, giving range of colours and textures to suit any project. The aggregate is a bauxite which has been chosen because it is exceptionally hard-wearing, offering a high degree of traction to both pedestrians and vehicles, as well as being good-looking and totally natural. The rounded shingle option offers a larger size of aggregate for those clients looking for a more gravelly appearance.

DecorDrive surfacing is applied by trained installation teams. Each team is required to successfully complete a comprehensive training programme before being licensed to install the system.
Each project is individually surveyed and the client is guided through the options available. Samples of the actual product, along with photographs and testimonials are provided and a no-obligation quotation is prepared.
Installation can be completed in just one working day, and the installation teams offer a full maintenance service, including an annual 'check-up' with optional cleaning to maintain the DecorDrive Surfacing in peak condition.
