Why cant you do different levels with morticed posts?
6inch wide at the posts, is that you have 2inch of gravel board, then the post behind.

Well I guess you can to some degree do it with mortised posts but you're governed by the step downs of the morise positioning on concrete posts. Some people just want continuous feathers all along.

I don't think the fence looks bad from the back side either IMO

Just started doing a bit of stone carving/lettering. Done 5 3 hour lessons so far, Hopefully turn it into a bit of a sideline doing house names/numbers, date stones, personalised gifts, logos and signing my own work and whatever else I can think of. Any ideas welcome.

Cheers

I like the linear drain thing. You feel confident that 2-3 inch over hang will stand the test of time?

You say a coloured render, does that make it easier to paint onto?

Whats the benefit over normal mix? Does it mix like easipoint, or like plaster with a drill paddle?

drill and paddle ... 6.4lts of water to a bag

the benefit is you scratch it the following day and you don't see and shadows like you do with conventional sand and cement render when the sun is shining down the face of the wall

Thanks mick. Very useful info.
had several rendering contractors over the years, all been next to useless, and all specifying a different mix. This product sounds like just the ticket

Wow that's nice. Do you get stressed out at all running projects like that or are you 1000% sure you are not at home to Mr Cock Up?
